Today Egypt’s Ministry of Finance portal mof.gov.eg got a DDoS attack.The flood of traffic slammed the servers and knocked the site offline.So the people who rely on it for tax filings, budget tracking or just checking balances hit a wall. As a result government digital services and finaical platforms were down for a while and officials are scrambling to bring everything back online.In short a single attack rippled through the ministry’s daily workflow giving everyone a hard time.

The hacktivist collective TheGarudaEye says they knocked the Egyptian Ministry of Finance’s online portal offline. They claim the hit came in the form of a large scale on DDoS attack and overloading the servers until no one could log in.
